Tool Rank is out of 100. Half comes from our own test of each tool on the same set of tasks. The other half comes from the directory: how many real, reported use cases the tool shows up in (up to 25; our own recipes never count), how strong those use cases score (up to 15), and how easy it is for a beginner (up to 10). Tools we have not finished testing are ranked on the directory data alone, scaled to 100, and say so on their review. Prices are taken from each tool's official pricing page on the date shown on its review.
