How to do it

  1. Back up the folder first.
  2. Ask the agent to scan and propose a folder plan without moving anything.
  3. Adjust the plan.
  4. Have it move files and write a log of every move so you can undo.

The prompt

Look at the files in {{folder}}. Do not move or delete anything yet.
Propose a folder structure based on names, types and dates, with how many files would go in each folder. List duplicates you find (same size and name) but do not delete them.
After I approve, move the files and write a CSV log: old path, new path. Never delete files.
