Build a full roguelite bullet-hell game in 10 days with parallel coding agents

Adrian Bigaj of BigDevSoon ran up to eight Claude Code agents, linked to the Unity editor through MCP, to build the 2D roguelite Void Balls in 10 days. The project reached about 29,000 lines of C# with 88 test files, for around $50 a month in AI tools.

How to do it

  1. Install a Unity MCP server so the agent can inspect scenes and prefabs
  2. Have one agent design the game's systems and module boundaries first
  3. Give separate agents separate areas: gameplay, UI, balance, tests
  4. Require tests for every system so refactors don't break things
  5. Generate art within a fixed color palette to keep the look consistent

The prompt

You're working in a Unity 6 project connected through Unity MCP. Before writing gameplay code, propose an architecture for a 2D roguelite platformer: list the systems (player, enemies, power-ups, waves, UI), their responsibilities and how they talk to each other. Put it in ARCHITECTURE.md. Then implement the player controller with a parry mechanic and write edit-mode tests for it.
